What is a professional organizer?
Professional organizers help individuals learn the skills they need to
solve organizing problems. Organizers design personalized systems and
processes using established organizing principles. They provide
services like home and business organizing, information and time
management, as well as coaching and training.
What is NAPO?
NAPO stands for the National Association of Professional Organizers.
Since 1985, NAPO has been the premier organization dedicated to the
field of organizing. NAPO defines quality standards and provides
education for its members, ensuring the highest level of excellence and
professionalism.
How long will it take to get
organized?
While organizing is a continuous process, how long it will take depends
on several things. Among these variables are the size of your project,
your ability to make decisions, your readiness for the process and how
much of the work you would like to do on your own. We will break the
work into manageable pieces and help you develop the habits and tools
to keep your space maintained.
How long is an organizing session?
The initial one-hour consultation is free. Ideally sessions are
3-4 hours in length.
What can an organizer do for me?
First and foremost I can give you the boost you may need to get started.

What will this cost?
The initial one hour consultation is free. Organizing if
$50 per hour. For larger projects, discounted packages are
available. Payment is due at the end of each session. I accept
cash or checks.
How does the process work?
- First
give me a call and we will get to know each other a little bit. I want
to learn your goals and priorities and what you want to change.
- The next step will be to set up a free one-hour
consultation for an assessment of your project needs.
- I
will help create and implement a personalized plan that will work for
you and your lifestyle and that will be manageable for you to maintain.
- We will work in 3-hour sessions (minimum) to
accomplish your goals. I will help you stay motivated and provide fresh
ideas.
- I
will follow up with you to be sure things are working for you. My job
is to ensure your project success and simplify your life.
Will I have to throw my things away?
The decision is always yours, but I will help you sort through your
items to help you determine what is truly valuable to you and what
might be worth donating to someone else.
What if I’m too embarrassed to have
anyone come into my home?
It’s normal to feel uncomfortable. I’m not there to judge you. I’m
there to help.
Everyone has their own reasons for needing an organizer, and there’s no
reason to be ashamed.
